Squirrel Removal in Leander and Austin
Scampering at dawn, chewed wiring, and the roofline gaps squirrels use. How we get them out and keep them out.
See the service →Heavy thumping overhead after dark, a torn roof vent, a soffit pushed open: that is a raccoon, and it is not leaving on its own. We get raccoons out of attics, chimneys, and crawl spaces humanely and seal the way back in, from our Leander and northwest Austin offices.

What we do
Raccoons are strong enough to rip through roof vents, soffits, and soft fascia boards, and they den in attics, chimneys, crawl spaces, and under decks. We start by finding exactly where this one got in, because the route decides how we get it out.
Even when the raccoon stays hidden, the entry point and the evidence around it tell us what we are dealing with and whether there is a litter up there too.
Depending on what we find, we either set live traps or install one-way doors that let the raccoon leave the house but not get back in. No poison, ever.
With trapping, it is your call: contact us when you find a raccoon in the trap, or have us return on a regular schedule to check the traps ourselves.
Removal without exclusion is a revolving door, and a raccoon that found one weak spot will find the next. Once every animal is out, we seal the entry points so they cannot return.
We provide an estimate for exclusion work as part of the service, so you know the full picture before anything starts.
Why it cannot wait
Raccoons top the wildlife list for a reason. They are a primary rabies carrier in Texas, and they can also spread canine distemper, leptospirosis, and raccoon roundworm, a parasite whose eggs survive in soil for years and can infect people and pets. Any raccoon cornered in an attic or crawl space will bite and scratch.
They also do real damage getting in: torn vents, ripped soffits, chewed fascia, and an attic turned into a den, often with a litter in spring. Central Texas development keeps pushing them out of the greenbelts, and homes backing creek corridors or undeveloped land in Leander, Cedar Park, and northwest Austin feel it most. Our attic noise guide tells raccoons from squirrels and rats by sound and time of day, and our wildlife control page covers the rest of the lineup.

Neighbors first
Reliable, professional, punctual, friendly, worry-free service. My experience with them has never been anything less than that for several years now, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that will change for many years to come. I could not be happier with them.
We’ve had Accurate Pest Control service our property since 2008. They don’t try to sell us anything we don’t need. Our monthly service fee has been consistent and reasonable since 2008. It’s difficult to find a quality company in most home services, but you can count on Accurate Pest Control to take care of your property.
What a great company! I purchased an ant control plan that had a 1 yr warranty for our yard. One month later, new ant mounds in other parts of our yard. I called them and they came out and treated again at no charge. It’s been 2-3 months and no ants. They also treat my house and the chemicals they use aren’t harmful to animals.
I receive quarterly pest treatments and had them out for critters in the attic over the summer as well. Very friendly and helpful service! I felt safe with both men that came to help even though I was home alone. The price is competitive and fair. Would definitely recommend!

Timing and weight. Raccoons are mostly nocturnal, so the noise comes after dark and sounds heavy: thumping, dragging, and scratching rather than light scampering. Squirrels are daytime animals, and the first clue is usually scurrying overhead around dawn. A torn roof vent or a soffit pushed open from the outside also points to a raccoon; squirrels use smaller gaps.
Not once it has decided your attic is a den, and especially not if there is a litter. The attic offers warmth, safety from predators, and a place to raise young, which is exactly what a displaced raccoon is looking for. Removal plus exclusion is what ends it.
Yes. We use live traps and one-way doors, devices that let the raccoon leave your house but not get back in. We never use poison on wildlife.
Your choice. Some homeowners prefer to call us when they find a raccoon in the trap; others have us return on a regular schedule to check the traps ourselves. We set that up with you when we place them.
Please do not, at least not until you are certain nothing is inside. Sealing an entry point with a raccoon or a litter still in the attic traps the animal in your house, and a trapped raccoon tears its way out through whatever is closest. We seal entry points only after every animal is out.
