Rodent Identification & Prevention Guide
How to tell rats from mice, the droppings and gnaw marks to look for, and what draws rodents into Central Texas homes.
Read the guide →A mouse can get into your house through a hole the size of a dime, a rat through one the size of a nickel, and if the hole’s too small, they’ll chew until it isn’t. Once rodents get inside, they stay, and they reproduce fast. We eliminate the infestation and seal the ways back in, for homes across Leander and greater Austin.

What we do
Every rodent job starts with a free inspection of your home. We identify the harborage areas where rodents are nesting, find the entry points they’re using to get inside, and size up how large the infestation actually is.
That information tells us which treatment methods will work best for your particular situation, instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.
Step one of treatment is getting the rodents out of your house. We use several methods depending on what the inspection found, including baiting, trapping, and glue boards.
Typically all rodents are eliminated from your house within five to seven days. Once there’s no more activity, we move to the final step.
We remove any rodent remains from your home and set out a deodorizer to neutralize odors, because a rodent job isn’t done when the rodents are.
Then we seal the cracks and crevices around your exterior that rodents used to get in, or could use next time. This exclusion work covers your house from ground to roof level and comes with a one-year warranty.
Why it matters
When rodents get into your house, they put your whole family at risk, and they don’t leave on their own. Because mice and rats reproduce so quickly, a couple of sightings usually means a bigger problem behind the walls. Our process eliminates the infestation thoroughly and then closes off the ways back in, so you’re not fighting the same battle again next fall. We serve homes and businesses across Leander, Cedar Park, and the greater Austin area.

Neighbors first
Reliable, professional, punctual, friendly, worry-free service. My experience with them has never been anything less than that for several years now, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that will change for many years to come. I could not be happier with them.
We’ve had Accurate Pest Control service our property since 2008. They don’t try to sell us anything we don’t need. Our monthly service fee has been consistent and reasonable since 2008. It’s difficult to find a quality company in most home services, but you can count on Accurate Pest Control to take care of your property.
What a great company! I purchased an ant control plan that had a 1 yr warranty for our yard. One month later, new ant mounds in other parts of our yard. I called them and they came out and treated again at no charge. It’s been 2-3 months and no ants. They also treat my house and the chemicals they use aren’t harmful to animals.
I receive quarterly pest treatments and had them out for critters in the attic over the summer as well. Very friendly and helpful service! I felt safe with both men that came to help even though I was home alone. The price is competitive and fair. Would definitely recommend!

Through openings much smaller than most people expect: a mouse fits through a hole the size of a dime, a rat through one the size of a nickel. If an opening is too small, they’ll chew it until it isn’t. Common entry points are gaps around the foundation, rooflines, and utility penetrations.
