Reliable, professional, punctual, friendly, worry-free service. My experience with them has never been anything less than that for several years now, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that will change for many years to come. I could not be happier with them.

Don’t Share Your Austin Home With Scorpions
Scorpions are simply part of life in Austin and the surrounding Hill Country. The two you’ll actually meet here, the striped bark scorpion and the Texas cave scorpion, are not deadly, but a sting is genuinely painful and nobody wants to find one in a shoe. On hot, dry stretches they move indoors looking for water and cooler air, and because they like to hide in and under things, they turn up in exactly the places you reach without looking.
Our Scorpion Control Offerings
Our primary scorpion control service is a monthly perimeter treatment around the outside of the house: a barrier that stops scorpions before they find a way in, maintained every month because a treatment that fades in the Texas heat is not protection. Alongside the perimeter we offer:
- Attic dusting treatment, reaching the voids where scorpions hunt and hide
- Plugging weep holes with copper mesh, closing the most common brick-home entry point without blocking airflow
- Weather stripping doors, sealing the gap scorpions slip under most often
That combination protects the house from the outside in. Our scorpion control service page covers the full program, and the scorpion pest library shows you what you’re dealing with.

We’ve had Accurate Pest Control service our property since 2008. They don’t try to sell us anything we don’t need. Our monthly service fee has been consistent and reasonable since 2008. It’s difficult to find a quality company in most home services, but you can count on Accurate Pest Control to take care of your property.
What a great company! I purchased an ant control plan that had a 1 yr warranty for our yard. One month later, new ant mounds in other parts of our yard. I called them and they came out and treated again at no charge. It’s been 2-3 months and no ants. They also treat my house and the chemicals they use aren’t harmful to animals.
I receive quarterly pest treatments and had them out for critters in the attic over the summer as well. Very friendly and helpful service! I felt safe with both men that came to help even though I was home alone. The price is competitive and fair. Would definitely recommend!

Austin scorpion questions we get every week
Are the scorpions in Austin dangerous?
The two species you’ll realistically encounter here, the striped bark scorpion and the Texas cave scorpion, are not deadly, but the sting is painful and worth avoiding. Anyone with a severe reaction should see a doctor, same as with bee stings.
How do scorpions get inside?
Weep holes in brick, gaps under doors, and openings around the foundation. They come in most during hot, dry stretches looking for water and cooler air, which is why sealing entry points is half the job.
What does the scorpion service include?
A monthly perimeter treatment as the core barrier, plus attic dusting, copper-mesh weep hole plugs, and door weather stripping where the house needs them. We come ready to treat on the first visit.
Why monthly treatments?
Texas heat and weather break down any perimeter product over time. Monthly service keeps the barrier continuous instead of letting it fade between visits.
Do you inspect for free?
Yes. Estimates are free, and a technician from our Mesa Drive office can usually get to your neighborhood within a few business days. Call (512) 267-0812 to get started.
