What we do
Every treatment starts with an inspection, because the plan depends on whether a colony is already inside. A technician walks the exterior perimeter looking for mud tubes and soil packed against the walls, checks the crawl space where there is one, and looks for swarmers when the season is right.
Austin inspections are scheduled from our Mesa Drive office, usually within a few business days. Our technicians have more than 20 years of experience reading termite activity and damage, so you get a straight answer about what is there and what it will take.
Active termites get Termidor®, the number one conventional termite treatment in the U.S. We trench and drill around the full exterior perimeter of the house and place the termiticide in the soil. Termites cannot detect it, so they carry it back through the colony until the colony is gone.
Every treatment carries a one-year warranty that renews yearly.
Building in Austin? Treating before the slab is poured and the walls go up protects the house from day one. We perform foundation treatments and stud treatments, using Bora-Care on the framing from the bottom plate up, including the plumbing penetrations.
Pre-construction treatments carry a five-year warranty.
Buying or selling in Austin? Most lenders want to know about termites before closing, and the VA requires wood-destroying insect information on home loans anywhere in Texas. We perform the inspection and issue the official Texas Wood Destroying Insect Report (SPCS/T-5), so you know about termites or termite damage before you sign. Details are on our termite inspection page.

Austin’s termite is the subterranean termite. Colonies live in the soil and travel up through mud tubes into the slab, the plumbing penetrations, and the framing, which is why most of what we find stays hidden until something is opened up. Formosan subterranean termites, a more aggressive species, have been confirmed in Travis County, so an Austin inspection takes them seriously.
Most Austin homes sit on a slab foundation, which puts the wood in the walls within a few inches of the soil. Swarmers fly in spring, and a swarm indoors means a colony is already established in or near the house. Our termite identification guide covers the signs to watch for between inspections.
Termites are one part of what we do in Austin. See our home pest control and commercial pest control plans, or the Austin pest control hub.

Reliable, professional, punctual, friendly, worry-free service. My experience with them has never been anything less than that for several years now, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that will change for many years to come. I could not be happier with them.
We’ve had Accurate Pest Control service our property since 2008. They don’t try to sell us anything we don’t need. Our monthly service fee has been consistent and reasonable since 2008. It’s difficult to find a quality company in most home services, but you can count on Accurate Pest Control to take care of your property.
What a great company! I purchased an ant control plan that had a 1 yr warranty for our yard. One month later, new ant mounds in other parts of our yard. I called them and they came out and treated again at no charge. It’s been 2-3 months and no ants. They also treat my house and the chemicals they use aren’t harmful to animals.
I receive quarterly pest treatments and had them out for critters in the attic over the summer as well. Very friendly and helpful service! I felt safe with both men that came to help even though I was home alone. The price is competitive and fair. Would definitely recommend!

Subterranean termites, which nest in the soil and come up through the slab, plumbing penetrations, and foundation cracks. Formosan subterranean termites, a more aggressive species, have been confirmed in Travis County as well. Both are treated the same way: a full perimeter Termidor® treatment after an inspection.
We trench and drill around the exterior perimeter of the house and apply Termidor®, the number one conventional termite treatment in the U.S. Termites cannot detect it, so they walk through it and spread it through the colony until the colony is eliminated.
